Camaraderie - Our users'
group includes a sizeable number of individuals who extend
their talents to other members and associates as "family."
Our meetings are numerous and, aside from the serious
discussion of computer related problems, we enjoy the
company of one another socially. Time is allotted at each meeting for
social talk over coffee and goodies. We encourage our members to
get to know each other. |
 |
Knowledge - We have a
significant mix of talent in our membership. We impart that
at every meeting through the program topic for the evening
(always computer function and software related). We always
allow for a liberal question and answer period. The novice
members are never allowed to be intimidated by the subjects
discussed. We appreciate the fact that all of us started out
in the same state of confusion. |
 |
Community Involvement - NEOPC
has never been considered a cliquish club. Most activities are freely
open to the public. We have a number of workshops which meet around the
area specialized on specific software packages or topics. All these
meetings are freely open to the public. Our involvement with a local
Senior Center, wherein we have instructed over
900 senior citizens in the use of the
computer since 2001, is evidence of our commitment to the community. |
 |
World-Wide
Assistance -
Another form of community spirited benefits is our NEOPC Club "FORUM", a well respected service, to provide computer related assistance to
members as well as any of our "friends" around the world.
This free service is not only for member benefit, but also
anyone who visits our page. We consider this an extension to our
regularly attended meetings. Recommended solutions are
offered by our technically minded members to assist anyone. |

Membership
Dues - We are a
dues paying club, $25.00 per year; the anniversary date of
joining is the renewal date each year. The dues support the
many activities of our organization:
distribution of our monthly newsletter to members;
refreshments at our general meetings; special mailings for
meeting announcements; printing notices of events; etc. |
 |
Students - Dues are
waved for the first year for full time students age 16 - 25 who provide evidence of current
enrollment in recognized Institutions. See the Membership Application
form linked above. |
